Build the Custom Willcox Bass of Your Dreams
Our USA custom shop gives players the ability to configure their own personalized LightWave Powered Instruments with premium tonewoods, variable hardware options, and a larger variety of finishes. See the steps below to guide you through the ordering processes before filling out our Custom Instrument Configurator form. Each custom order request will receive a one-on-one consultation and a detailed estimate before undergoing production.

The USA Custom Saber Bass is available in 4, 5, & 6 string models with both Fretted and Fretless configurations. We also offer both 34″ and 35″ scale lengths as an option for every model.

2. Select Tonewoods & Finish
The Custom shop offers a variety of high quality tonewoods and finishes. From the classic Flame Maple and Quilted Maple tops to the more exotic Zebrano and Cocobolo woods, we have something to please all players looking for their preferred aesthetic and tonal qualities. Every custom instrument has the option of transparent or opaque finishes in gloss or satin. Hand oiled finishes are also available. All hardware is available in chrome, black, satin black, and gold finishes including the strap buttons, tuners, and tone knobs. You also have the option to add a ramp and/or thumb rest to the body of your instrument as well.

Like our production model Saber Basses, we offer our HexFX 13-Pin individual string output option in addition to the standard 1/4″ mono output. The HexFX output technology enables full synth access, individual string processing and modeling, as well as the use of a fanout box. The LightWave Optical Pickup System paired with HexFX technology provides ultra-fast and accurate tracking, with no latency and no false triggering.

We will do our best to accommodate any special requests and give you the most accurate estimate possible. You can also use this chance to ask any questions you may have in relation to your order.
